Duo Winiarski/Carron started playing together while studying at the Edsberg Chamber Music Institute at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Both members enjoy a combined careers as soloists and chamber musicians. They quickly gained recognition and praise for their unique, intuitive collaboration, and have won prizes at two of the biggest chamber music competitions in Scandinavia - the "Swedish International Duo Competition" in 2017, and at the Swedish Chamber Music Biennale in 2019. They tour regularly all over Scandinavia.
Pontus Carron, piano (b. 1993) has studied at the master's program at the Royal Academy of Music / Edsberg in Stockholm. Studies that he completed with a diploma concert in the Grünewald Hall at the Concert Hall in Stockholm 2018. Pontus has received a number of prizes in international piano competitions such as "Citta di San Doná di Piave Piano Competition" and Stockholm International Music Competition. He has performed in all the Nordic countries, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Kristina Winiarski, cello (b. 1994) debuted as a soloist at the age of 16 when she played Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts in Washington DC, USA. After that she has performed as a soloist with, among others, the Maryland Philharmonic, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Symphony and the Zagreb Philharmonic. In the spring of 2019, Kristina received her soloist diploma at the Malmö Academy of Music for Professor Torleif Thedéen.
